About the City of Albufeira, Portugal
With its prime vantage point atop multi-hued cliffs in Portugal's southern Algarve region, it's easy to imagine Albufeira's eighth- century Arab occupants calling the city "Castle of the Sea." Brightly painted fishing boats, stunningly white houses with Moorish flair and remnants of its old fortress provide echoes of earlier days, while lively nightlife accentuates its modern resort charms.

Spend time sunbathing on the more than 20 diverse beaches that hug the coast or venture inland, where almond trees blossom and local handicrafts are abundant.

Our Accommodation
We will be staying at the Hotel Dom Pancho. You can read more about our accommodation here.
Nightlife
The nightlife on "The Strip", located near the Montechoro section of Albufeira, proves especially popular during the summer with all ages, especially the younger tourists. Going down "The Strip", the most popular bars include Erin's Isle, Matt's Bar, Linekers, Café del Mar, Mustang, BJ's, Garage, Reno's, La Bamba, and Wild & Co. There is also an extremely popular nightclub, Kiss. Kadoc, located around seven miles away between Albufeira and Vilamoura near the town of Boliqueime.
Cost
We budget around £200 to £220 per tourist every year and have managed to keep to this budget in the past, taking into account our tour fundraising and sponsorship activities.
How to Pay
We prefer the use of standing orders or bank transfer but we do accept cash / cheques which will need to be handed directly to the tour organisers.
Are you interested?
We have only been able to pay for 25 flights so far, so therefore there are currently only 25 guarenteed places available for this tour. If you wish to book your place, you will need to pay a deposit of £50 as soon as possible... it is a first come, first serve basis. All other Tourists may have to find there own way there if you book late.
The remaining money
will be due by no later than 31st April 2010.
Please email saintfrancisrfc@googlemail.com. to let us know you are coming on tour in 2010.
Fundraising
We will try to organize some fundraising events throughout the year, such as the Winter Drinking Olympics, Poker evenings and many more. Please do your best to attend these events and if possible bring any rich friends/family we do not know about.
Any Questions?
Just e-mail us at saintfrancisrfc@googlemail.com.
